MEMBERSHIP

To perform in any Cygnets show, you must become a member. The annual membership fee is £35 (or £30 if you pay by Standing Order / Direct Debit). Membership benefits include discounts for attending social events, as well as entitling you to vote on society matters at the AGM and other official meetings. You’ll also get access to our members’ groups and mailing lists so you’ll be the first to hear news and announcements!

There’s no business like show business and it’s expensive to put on a show! So in addition to the annual membership fee, we ask all cast members to make a financial contribution to their show in the form of a show fee. However, we don’t want financial circumstances to be a barrier to participation, so you are always able to speak to the Committee in confidence about your specific situation.

All details of show fees will be available at the welcome meeting for each show, prior to auditions.

The Committee

The society is run by a small committee of volunteers who meet once a month to discuss all things Cygnets, and to make sure your society is being run in the best way possible.

THE SOCIETY

Cygnets Players was established in 1997 as an amateur musical theatre group and has since developed into a full amateur dramatic society (NODA affiliated) based in South West London putting on at least two musicals and one play each year.

The society is a mix of people from every walk of life, aged from 16 to 60+, who share a common interest in theatre. We are proud of our high quality shows but we don't forget that this is a hobby and that we should be having fun first and foremost.

We're a sociable bunch with rehearsals often spilling over into a session at the local pub and a busy social calendar!
